The genre would be experimental music, Asian Underground and remix since the latch brothers (Beastie boys) uses a song Flight to Iraq that has been sampled from Ode to Ganesha by Bhagavan Das, which was associated with the Beastie Boys and had help with Sir Mix-Master-Mike you can hear Flight to Iraq from Ode to Ganesha at 1:09 the song uses a slight western Indian flute and some sitars in the background and the most notable song that has some Asian aesthetics is Bay-Bronx Bridge, Xlarge Shoutouts and Shake Your Rump etc. I am going to say that Mike D was probably in a enlightenment journey, because he was probably was talking to Bhagavan Das the guru. Furthermore, for Asain Underground this genre had a lot of inspiring American artist that we probably know to day. For example Missy Elliott and her song Get Ur Freak On that uses two western Indian instruments a tabla and tumbi and Timbaland and his song Indian Flute song etc. Some famous Asain underground artist had grown a lot of popularity from this genre for example Jai Uttal and M.I.A etc. I can recommend some more Asain Underground artist if you like, just message me back and I can get with you yo hopefully this help you.

@@Eddsucks No problem, just needed more songs in my playlist got bored listening to the same song that you hear on the radio and rappers just got bored and searched for some new songs. Furthermore, the hardest sample I could not find for a long time was The Answer by The Latch Brothers, which now I found was Oojami - Chicky and Azize, but it might have used a Norman Cook sample who knowns. Never going to find another sample for my life.😅
